Cat In The Hat

Cat in the had is a children's film based on the Dr Seuss book 'The cat in the hat'. This is a film about two normal children who are left by there mother one day and all of a sudden a cat is in there house. The cat, played excellently by Mike Mires, is human sized and can talk. After the children come to terms with the cat he shows them how to have FUN, until they loose there dog Evans and have to look everywhere before there mum comes home.

I especially love this film to bits!! Its so fun and silly with great coulours in a beautiful town. mike mires is truly in his element as this part, and completely brings him to life. I definatily think this should be in IMDbs  top 250 list, because it is and always be one of my favourite films. 

Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is number 18 on IMDbs top 250 list.

Forrest Gump is a bout a simple man with a low IQ and a good heart. Who finds himself making history by the simplest of actions. He grows up with his best friend Jenny who is also his only friend. She teaches him how to read and wright. however Jenny unlike Forrest will pick all the wrong decisions in life leading to her and Forrest having totally different lives. This is one of my favourite aspects of the film because I love the contrast of the unintelligent, small boy how has near to nothing going for him and the sweat innocent girl who could do anything. Through out the film you see them at the same stages in life but with totally different realities the main reason for this was Jennies poor and abusive father where as Forest has a supportive and loving mother who bends over backwards for there best interests.

Forest Gump is defiantly a film that has taught me allot for example; The affects of drugs. I found this film particularly moving especially how generous forest is towards people he loved. This is, and all ways will be, one of my favourite films because it is just such a heart warming film that is full of fun references and teaches a good lesson.

IMDb top 250 list

In life I feel as though I don’t understand a lot of  film references that I should so to become a more educated person in film I am watching all 250 films on the IMDb’s top films list. Every time i watch one of these goo or bad films i will expres my thoughts on this very nice page. I am hoping that watching these films witch are old and new will help me learn more about the film industry and more about how to be a successful film maker, since i aspire to make films for a living when Im older. I aslo, as cheesy as it may be, think it will help me to to grow to understand and have a different view on the world.
